BoltPuzzle
BoltPuzzle is an offline reflex game where you keep a Victorian switchboard lit by striking live terminals before their charge runs out. This page explains what the app does and does not do with your data.
BoltPuzzle does not collect, transmit, or share any personal information.
Information we collect
None. No sign-up, no login, no contact form, no telemetry. The display name you can set for your own record screen stays on the device.
Data stored on your device
To make the app work, BoltPuzzle stores the following only on your device, using the operating system's local storage:
- Shift progress: cleared shifts, stars, best score and best chain.
- Recent runs: shift, score, stars, burnouts, best chain, time and date.
- Sparks balance and lifetime earnings (earned in play only, never sold).
- Daily ration date and streak.
- Workshop upgrade tiers and paid-out accolades.
- Display name, avatar mark, the reduced flash / high-contrast terminals / chain readout settings, and a seen-the-intro flag.
This data never leaves your device. It is not uploaded to BoltPuzzle or to any third party. Uninstalling the app or clearing its storage deletes all of it permanently.
Permissions
No runtime permissions are requested. The Android manifest declares INTERNET as the Flutter toolchain default; it is never prompted for and the game makes no requests with it.
Network use
Fully offline: no HTTP clients, sockets, WebViews, remote config or cloud backup. The Share button on the Record screen passes a short plain-text summary to the system share sheet, and you pick the destination.
Third-party services
No analytics, crash reporting, advertising or A/B-testing SDKs. On-device open-source packages only: flutter_riverpod, sqflite, shared_preferences, flutter_animate, collection and share_plus.
Children's privacy
BoltPuzzle collects nothing from anyone, including children under 13 (COPPA) or under 16 (GDPR-K), and has no ads, profiling or chat, so there is nothing to consent to.
Your rights
Uninstall the app, or use your device’s Clear storage option, to erase all of it. There is no server copy and no account to close.
Changes to this policy
If this policy ever changes, the date at the top of this page will be revised. Material changes will be noted in the app's release notes.
